lick291 CULD just be running prices up ALSO. He MAY have been listed as Buyer of the Cuda, but Could be representig another OR working a SCAM.
Look at his record of transactions. 1 IF it went through it was BIG, but, he could STILL have backed out, OR he has hacked from another address.
As I have said, Ebay is GOOD in thought & theory, but CAN be manipulated by some to give False info IF it is given by buyer or seller. UNTIL you have documentation of Sale/Purchase and can TOUCH the item OR can verify it DON't Bank on it!

    3shields Let's go, MOUNTAINEERS!!!

    my two cents.........

What is comforting to know is, that if that car is in stock trim, and a '70 Stage 1 was sitting next to it in stock trim, the GS would be quicker and much more affordable.

I don't go much by the old Motor Trend tests necessarily. I don't really believe out of the box the Stage1 was necessarily that much quicker than the LS-6. Probably with a little "prep" it could have been.

If it was it's couldn't have been by much in the "real" world.

I could be wrong though. I've never owned either, so.........

This is STRANGE. Look at the bid history, the winning bid was made at 19:36:59 PDT, but the auction ended at 19:30:14 PDT. REALLY makes a guy wonder!!! What a way to make the value of your car go up!!

I will bet a dollar to a doughnut the high bidder doesn't come through... check his history. This seems out of his league..

The winning bid was made on the 19th, the auction ended on the 20th, he was the high bidder for almost 24 hours before it ended and nobody was able to outbid him.

Was in the Robb mag a year or so ago. I believe it was going for $200K then. Full page ad and it looks like the same pictures were used again.
I want to say it only had 25 miles on it then. Who knows maybe the guy had to run to the store.

I am pretty sure I remember that car being sold about 14 years ago. I think it had been driven to a climate-controled storage facility (from the dealership) where it sat, just after it was bought. Pretty interesting piece of history. And, not a bad investment (although storage costs for 30+ years are probably pretty high).

If I was in a position to spend that kind of scratch on a car, especially one that would be shown, driven in and out of the enclosed trailer and basically sit in a garage, it for damn sure wouldn't be spent on Ebay and then not with a guy that has that many negatives! What the heck are these people thinking?

Seems like some serious investigation would be done prior to any kind of dough changing hands at that level. If it turned out to be faked or misrepresented in any way, I would fold my wad of cash back in half and hit the trail. The investigation would be just as thorough on the seller as on the car!!
