    Hi everyone,

Just wanted to get some opinions - I have the opportunity to get either a set of 15x7 Buick rally wheels or a staggered set of 15x8/15x7 Buick rally wheels. Also have the chance to get a nice set of 255x60x15 tires. I know that the tires would look good on the 15x7 set, but what is everyone's opinions on possibly putting the 255s on the staggered 15x8/15x7 set?

The wider 8" wheel will give the tire more support. There are no downsides to the wider wheel. It's a no brainer. If you decide to go to the popular 275/60-15, you will need the wider wheel. Get the staggered set. That is what I run on my GS.

I have 15x8s with 255s all round and it works really great. :TU:

    >>Thanks for your input Larry - sounds like the staggered set is the way to go.

    >>Hi John,
You have 15x8s on the front of your car with 255s? Don't they rub when you make turns?

I just got my new rims on my car yesterday. I'm running 245 front and 255 60-15 rear all on 15x7's...

    >>Your wheel/tire combo looks good! I already ordered my 15x8 & 15x7 Buick Rally wheels and will be using the 255x60x15 tires all around.

My apoligies for not getting back to you sooner.

Hardly ever notice it, just very occasionally if I go on full lock while parking in a tight spot.
I am very happy with them. :TU:

    Cheers

    >>Thanks for letting me know John. I decided to go with 15x7 wheels for the front to prevent any possible rubbing.

    >>I'll definitely post some pics when I get the wheel/tire set up on my car. Curt McKim is still building my wheels so hopefully I will have them in a few weeks or less.

Would this set up rub on the front sway bar?

Also, what backspacing would the 8" rim have?

    Thanks

No rubbing on the sway bar.

I bought them from Cokers, sorry I can't remember the exact backspacing, it is just the standard one that they have on their 8" Buick rims.
