    Is it JUST me.....

Or is everything looking like a "diamond in the rough"?:Dou:

That Riv looks cool, I think someone will restore it (wish I could).:TU:

    You said it

You hit the nail on the head with that comment Dan. Course if that is true I virtually have a "diamond mine" on my property:Dou: :gt:

Just can't stop looking at the one's that need saving though:rolleyes:

Pretty fair price with the engine complete from that high buck air cleaner to the pan also.

Before this site and ebay came along the super wildcat was something of a legend. I'd heard about them but never seen one in person or for sale. It's amazing what you can find now for sale, just for the effort of doing a search and pressing enter.

And I've got my dream car super wildcat with my 66 Riv GS. Another internet find that would have been unthinkable to try and locate just ten years ago.

I hear ya Mike. Before e bay I can just imagine a friend doing the old word of mouth method and saying
"Hey Fritz, you wouldn't be interested in a 64 Riv with a factory dual quad Super Wildcat option for $2500 bucks would ya?"

I would have been blazing an instant trail to it, and I'm sure buy it on the spot.

As you said though with the new technology available just about anything can be found with enough patience and the right search engine and key words.

Kinda spoils a little bit of the mystery and "oohs and aahs" though because people are like "Big deal I saw 3 of them on ebay this month" or something similar.

I still was amazed I picked off that factory 4 speed 64 Wildcat from my "saved searches" the other day though, but it is getting tougher and tougher to be unique for sure.

Sure is nice to be able to find the parts so much easier though, so that is a good trade off.

What ya wanna bet that guy would lower his Buy it Now to an even 2k? I better go before I end of with this thing:Brow: :Dou:

I haven't forgotten you guys (guess I need to update that post) but I am still having a bunch of health problems that are keeping me away from the cars (other than typing about them:rolleyes: ).

As soon as I get the green light I'll be jumping in with both boots but for now just more Doctors appointments and tests, pain killers and more pain killers and no straining or over doing anything.

Wish I could tell ya she was running but no such luck,I did try a couple of the suggestions but my body suffered for it (ouch).

    Thanks for checking though:TU:

I agree with Mike, heard about Rivieras with the dual 4bbl's option but when I stumbled/bumbled onto one of these jobs in a Wildcat Convertible I knew it was special, but not how special! Luckily the lady who owned the car chased me down one day and made me buy it  Its in paint shop now.
