I JUST FOUND OUT THESE TIRES ARE 16 YEARS OLD SO THEY ARE NO LONGER FOR SALE.

I honestly did not know as I bought them second hand 1 year ago and never checked the date code myself...just took the sellers word. I will not sell 16 year old tires to anyone.

    Thanks,
    Josh

    Josh,

I am interested but hate to think what shipping would run to zip 48375? Let me know what it would be anyway.

That was quick. I will try to get some shipping estimates tonight. If you want some large photos please PM you email address so I don't have to go throught the hassle of resizing and hosting them to post.

    Thanks,
    Josh

I am not sure how much the tires weigh since they are still mounted but here is how I did the online quote. I figured I would package them in pairs and each package would weigh 45lbs(probably lighter than that). Shipped from my zip 78121 to your zip 48375 it would cost about 45 bucks per package.

If anyone has experience shipping tires and can tell me how to do it cheaper please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Josh

I've shipped tires by wrapping them in plastic wrap in pairs just like you said... wrap 'em tight and all the way around each set, slap shipping labels on 'em and drop 'em off at fedex/ups or other shipping company.

I had to keep sending a set of 4 wide white tire 'seconds' back and forth to Universal Tire a couple of years ago for my Electra. Cost was roughly $25-$30 a set to ship.

Thanks Chuck, that is exactly what I was thinking about doing. I'll run out to Lowes and get some plastic wrap and try to get some quotes once I get them off the rims.

So 90 Bucks would be the absolute highest shipping cost with these tires but most likely a lot less.

    Thanks,
    Josh

Yes, you should be spending less than $90 to ship the set. I don't believe it would cost that much to ship from coast to coast, let alone from TX to one coast or the other.

If you do plan to ship, make sure you wrap them well.... since they are tires, they tend to get abused/thrown around a bit during delivery.

Good luck with the sale..... (still 3rd in line).

Just sent you three pics. They are 5mb each so they should be pretty big with plenty of detail. If you want me to take a picture of the tread depth I can do that as well but as you can see in the pics they are almost new.

    Thanks,
    Josh

Doo Wop Where were you in '62?

Interested for sure...if you can ship to Canada (near Toronto) via Greyhound.

Know what they look like too.

Your turn. I hope to get them dismounted on Tuesday and then I can wrap them in pairs and get better shipping quotes. If anyone else needs pics just PM or post your email and I will send some.

    Thanks,
    Josh

Tires are off the wheels now. I have a deal pending but I will update this thread if things change or the tires are sold.

    Thanks,
    Josh

    Well crap! :af: :af: :af:

Due to an unforeseen hiccup on the home front, I'm gonna have to pass on these Josh. I'm real sorry and hope I don't cause you to much trouble.
