24"x36" Full Color original logo GSCA posters....."GUS"

It is your responsibility as a seller to ship items safely. They were damaged because of the cheap (Light blub box) not a poster box. You are well known here, I am not so who's favor you think this is going to go in when putting it to a vote. The posters are damaged and ugly, crease and the paper fibers are broken from the creases show white ugly VERY NOTICEABLE spots in all the glossy colored places. The paper thin square box was folded in half period! That is fine Bill if this is how you take care of business, a vote instead of doing the right thing. I do not stand a chance on this site because of who you are and that is a shame.

Here is a PM from you asking which box was my posters in. You are saying poster boxes you bought strictly for shipping these posters but I got a cheap paper thin light fixture box that is NOT made for shipping.

(Mike...very sorry to hear that......send me some pictures of the damaged box and of the posters......i may replace them for you. Did yours come in a light fixture box or a white poster box ?)

 

My take. Seller is responsible to make sure packaging will hold up to being shipped. Either a refund or replacement is the only way to satisfy a customer.

 

I was at the Uncles house this past weekend and mentioned these to him. I told him that WildBill was selling some big GSCA posters that I thought he would probably like. We happened to be out in the shop at the time and he reaches into the trunk of the '67 and pulls out a white poster and says "You mean one like this?" I just started laughing and said "Yup, exactly like that". He bought one from you back in the 80's. Hahaha. It still looks great.

 

Cheap light bulb box paper......HUH, that's not how Uline describes them. And for your info.....those "free" USPS
triangle boxes have even cheaper "light bulb box paper".......plus they are a MINIMUM $6.00+ just to ship the shortest distance.

I have shipped many things over the years......this is not about me.......you say i was negligent......i say you are wrong.

You are the one who called me out instead of sending another PM.

I've given away more of these posters than i have probably sold over the years.

 

Why should I send you ANOTHER PM, email, post, please explain as you already knew that they were damaged by several correspondences. I called you out because I watched you comment on several posts over the last week, seen you on line everyday and you still never responded back to me after a week to anything I sent you. I know you are a big wig here and in the Buick world and I am just a tiny insignificant speck of dust because I am a nobody to you or the Buick World but it doesn't give you the right to treat me like this. I know that if the table was turned here, you would make sure I had my butt handed to me on this forum.

For your info I did not want this poster to hang on the wall but to have it professionally framed and displayed along the the GS X-TRA from nearly 20 years ago with my car in it at shows. Thought it would be something really cool to do when I seen that poster. I guess I was wrong because it has turned a good idea into a cluster f&%k and it only cost me 24 bucks.

I know my negative feedback about our dealing will do nothing to you but hey at least I didn't back down because of who you are.

I take all reasonable steps and precautions when i ship something.Been doing it for 30 years.

Those document boxes are ULINE #S-18259 2x2x25 200# test corrigated cardboard.....recomended for
storing or MAILING documents or blueprints.

There's 10-12 of them boxes that made the trip just fine.......negligence on my part....i assure you.

Stalking me all weekend on V8 and getting your all in a knot because you think i'm diss'in you because you had not got a reply from me yet....and you think i'm screw'in you out of $24.00. SERIOUSLY...get a life.

People nowdays think that they must have instant access and feedback just because they have electronic devices that can accomplish those intrusions into other peoples time.......breeds people that act like you have in this situation.

Your replacments were ready to go....i was just deciding if i was gonna ask if you wanted to pay the extra shipping to have them sent in a PVC tube.

You call me negligent and all the other negativity you direct towards me......you have brought out the other side of me on this one.

Posting smack like you did this morning got you where this situation is right now....i'd say that's negligence on your
part.

I received my posters and they arrived in wonderful shape.

As for what I was just reading, I feel that someone made a too quick and harsh reaction. I don't know you personally and only met you at the GSCA event last year. I know you have a reputation to do what you feel is responsible enough. Sorry to see that you are getting such a rash of poo poo for $24. This is not a $250 or $2,500 part. Your post count says enough for your involvement in the community.

I am sure that you would gladly make it right. I would most likely see myself just refunding the guy his money and let them move on. Good luck with future shipments.

Thanks Mike....this has not been a good day. My mother in law is going back under the knife as i post this.

Some good will come out of this....i have found that i can put my box in a USPS triangle box and hopefully
ship for $6-$8. That's more the the $3-$4 that it costs now but maybe it will help a little.

I will take this thread down and start a new one if i decided to sell anymore.

You can put what ever spin you want on the situation Bill but nothing changes the fact that you ignored me for over a week knowing that the posters are JUNK because they were shipped in a cheap light fixture box not intended for shipping.

Again I am just a speck of dust on this Buick forum and you can step on me very easily and get away with it. This isn't the only forum or page to post my experiences. Shame someone as popular as you has to stomp on the little guy just because you can.

The point that I want to make is that Bill has nearly 5K posts on this board. He has been around for quite a while and contributed a lot to this community. You being new does not mean too much, except to give reason for you to not understand the tight community we have in the Buick world. Before jumping to conclusions that he is ignoring you for any particular reaason, you could give a thought that there may be somethinig else going on. As we know now, there is. Your disconcern is bothering to say the least. Bill has explained some information and you frankly don't give a damn.

I'll send you $24 more dollars to go away.. Or, you can take that as an opportunity to realize that we all know Bill will make right whatever is wrong.. But we all have lives here too. Bill's not in it for the money. He's here for the love of the hobby..

Step back and take a breath and realize that many parts etc. are sold here and shipped even before paymet is recieved.

I am fairly new here also. And we are all entitled to an opinion. But geez... no one deserves to be badmouthed for trying to do the right thing. How about a little R E S P E C T ? There is too much of this wanting instant gratification in this world already.

 

He ignored me for over a week so where is my respect?? How much time does one give in a bad deal? I know for a fact that if someone did this to Bill, he would be all over it in a day. I knew that because I am new here and that Bill has been around forever that would come into play. Just because I am new doesn't give Bill the right to ignor me after sending him Pictures at his request and never hearing from him again. He knows he screwed up, he just want to admit it on a public forum. I am not afraid to call anyone out regardless of who they are. Seems several forums across the internet have the same opinions as I.

 

Look, your bashing and crying is doing nothing but make you look bad. Step back, take a deep breath and say to yourself... To err is human, and I err all the time. Move on and get over it. Bill is going through some issues right now and most likely did not have the thought to reply over the week that you feel he ignored you. I can understand how it is having just lost my mother in Jan 4th to an 8 month battle with cancer. Not all mother in laws are evil as believed by many. Many are better to us than our own family are.

Chill out and you will get your posters or your money back.

He had the thought to reply on other posts for the last week on the forums but ignored his responsibility. My PM's and emails were nothing but kind to Bill. This thread only lit up today by Bill after making a post on Facebook. I would like to personally thank who ever told Bill about that post, you got him to respond to me, something I could not do. Sorry if wanting him to take care of something that he sold and shipped makes me look bad. I speak my mind regardless who it is against even though it is probably the most popular guy on the site.

I know he is going through a bad time and I never asked him to do it right this instant like everyone thinks but he had already told me that he is not responsible for something he shipped.

 

I've read enough here, and I can find fault on both sides of this situation. Bill is refunding the purchase, let it go.
