Hey John Jr, I thought I heard a couple months ago there is going to be an award for the car that was driven the furthest. I personally think it was a junkie car? Interesting? Can it be a regular car that goes to the show and also races BSA? What are the rules?
My phone says it is only 976 miles. What if I go to Daytona Beach and take a picture of me and a girl in a bikini? Then I go to eastern Atlanta and visit Patrick? I didn’t ask him yet if I could go there and visit him. I think he would say yes? , Then I stop off some other places and party, and then I hit the Nationals? But wait …. I’m going to the Skip Barber antique motorcycle museum in Alabama? Camping out at least a day, perhaps two. Then I’m going to go to my brother-in-law‘s in Pensacola. Then I’m going to go to those caverns that are off of I 10 around Panama City. Then I’m gonna stop off at different places along the way home. I think I could rack up a couple thousand miles easy. What are the rules?
Oh dang, I already got the picture of the girl in the bikini on Daytona Beach next to me on my bicycle. I have to find it. Oh wait, that’s cheating. That doesn’t matter. I was younger and so was she.
I tried for an award like that with the ROA club. The way it was calculated was by address. Whatever your registered mailing address is and where the event is. I missed it by couple hundred miles even though my miles traveled was more.
You are correct. There is an award for the farthest driven buick that enters the car show. It is sponsored by DL Hudson of DL resurrections. We got about 25 additional trophies for the car show this year so its a good year to enter for sure. john jr
Well I’m coming from Phoenix and it’s 1748 miles, dragging a 24 ft trailer. So you’re going to have Beat that. Sam you might be alittle farther, but ya gotta bring a car!
I sold that wonderful old girl a week ago and ordered a new one, I will always be thankful for it, I bet I put another 20,000 miles on her. The new one should be here next week.
Yes I took good care of her for sure, new owner is my best friend from old HS racing days, gonna use it mostly to store his 67 Chevelle in it, he’s garage poor.
You have to hold up a newspaper with the date visible! (You know, like proving hostages are still alive). You are welcome to stop in on the way up! Patrick
Here's another promotional piece created. Please help us circulate this flyer all over the internet to continue spreading the word! We printed this to hand out to places such as parts stores and some local shops in hopes of attracting a much broader audience. Feel free to do the same! This is a standard 8.5" x 11" size. I can gladly email this to anyone who needs an original file to print themselves.
