I just took the plunge and ordered my first car ever. I've been following all the Hellcat hoopla in the media and it is definitely a beast of a car, but with anything that's hot dealers and consumers are going crazy and falling all over themselves. I think the real bargain is the Scat Pack Cars. I just ordered one with the 8 speed automatic transmission and a couple of other options for under invoice. For cruising I think the 485 horsepower should be plenty. I'm pretty excited about it already thinking of going on the Power Tour next year.
I saw a Challenger R/T in passing last week-Plum Crazy with black '71 style stripes. What was really cool--it had white letter tires and a black vinyl top. Don't normally like tops added to modern cars (think pimped out, gold emblem Caddy DTS or Camry) but it really worked on this one. I'm not in the market for a new car, but it does kinda suck that the car Buick thinks I want is the same price as a hemi Challenger, over complicated econocar based, and wrong wheel drive. Thanks the guys who have already received theirs are raving about the 8 speed/392 combination. I would love to see a real world time slip from a track. They are thinking low 12's which is moving considering how heavy that beast is.
