I'm thinking on putting the 200R-4 back into the Electra, any idea if the detent cable from the car's original engine a 307 Olds would work? I would assume that as long as the cable reaches the bracket on the intake it should work. Any thoughts on this? Thanks, Greg
you should be able to use the detent cable and bracket from carb if you have a q-jet i suggest a trans cooler and a shift kit/upgraded servos at least and dont run engine without cable hooked up and adjustment close as these transmissions will burn up if pressures are not right mose people suggest getting the brf(grand nat) trans but you can call ckperformance and get a custom valvebody kit and will shift like a wicked grand nat trans and it comes with servos and shiftkit upgrades
