This trans was rebuilt with a shift kit 15 years ago. It is stock otherwise. It has approximately 25k miles on it, the majority of those miles my wife was driving it in her 350 powered apollo. The car has been sold and the trans needs to go. It's drop in ready,

$600. I don't really want to ship, but I could drop it off at a fastenal store for a little extra $- the store that ships is over an hour away..

    Located in northen Vt..

I should have been more specific with the shipping.

With fastenal the buyer can also quote and arrange the shipping. Google blue line freight and punch in the info.

    Please source your own quote!

Ship from zip is 05401. Figure a standard 40x48 pallet and 80 lbs. The buyer can pay fastenal direct at the store and I will drop it off.

Edit- just for some clarity on the subject. Fastenal doesn't automatically generate quotes like ups or fedex. I believe a human looks it up and calculates the cost. I don't want to inundate this person with a bunch of quotes that never come to fruition. If a buyer is serious then getting a quote for themselves shouldn't be a problem. I'm also open to dropping this off at any freight dock in the area.

Just FYI I believe you can get online quotes via Fastenals Third Party Logistics

scroll to the bottom to enter the paying location etc

I ship Fastenal weekly. They call it a 3PL. However, they have restricted their freights to certain regions in the last few years. Check and make sure they will ship to where you need it to go.

Fastenal here {las cruces NM} has NEVER participated in third party freight. It could have been a lifesaver for an individual having a parts business. They don't want to get involved in the BS and petty disputes that will undoubtably arise. CHECK first before considering Fastenal as a viable option.

Put a 373-411 gear with this trans with lockup convertor and have one fast street machine and can take on trips. It is a good deal

Would 3:42 gears work well? I am considering

    3.42s would work good.

Considering that the 84-87 Turbo Regal cars ALL came with the 3.42 rear gear, I'd say that it is an excellent choice! Only problem is, is that I think that those specific gears needed in the transmission are discontinued...

I would go with a 373 on a non power adder engine with the 2004r. With a turbo 342 gear would be good there.
