2004r to NP205 Transfer case?

I am liking the idea of buying a built 2004r to bolt directly up to the 1978 Buick 350 in my Jeep CJ-7. It currently has a TH350 which is not half bad. However, I want overdrive because it's a road warrior now getting lots of high RPM highway miles, not a mudder like the previous owner had it for.
I am told the transmission lengths are about the same which is nice because of rear driveshaft length.

So the 2004r bolts right up to the engine right? Now how can I mate the 200r4 to the Chevy NP205 transfer case? Will it just require taking out the input shaft and installing it into the 200r4?
Some googling hasn't found me any adapter plates or anything, so I was wondering if someone could help me out.
Should I just scrap the idea and go with the longer 700r4? That would suck, but is that my only option?
    Thanks!

The 700r4 is your only choice. The 200r4 does not have the removable tailshaft that you would need to bolt to the transfer case. The only other thing you could do would be to run the isolated 205 with a short driveshaft.
