I have a 2004R GM overdrive transmission. When I use this transmission going down the racetrack, the
transmission will not shift into overdrive automatically unless, I take my foot off the gas at least 50%.
As you can image tis is not exactly good for low ET's.

Does anyone make a manual over ride switch, or something similar that I can have the transmission
shift into high gear WITH OUT having to step off the gas. In other words allow full throttle shifts from 3rd to 4th??

i believe the valve that regulates that is the same as a 700 camaro trans which tci or someone have a valve kit from summit racing.also poston buick parts would have something as the have many parts for that trans #18006359781.or one of those grand national trans builders would know.you could find them on the vender part of the turbo buick web sites

The only person you should talk to is Bruce at:

    PTS Extreme

He's not just another rebuilder but engineers, develops and distributes new performance parts for these trannys.

These are not the same as the 700, the 200 should will into OD at WOT (my '87 GN does). Sounds like you have too much MTV down (modulated throttle downshift) pressure or not enough MTV up pressure, caused by a myriad of potential items, Bruce is the one to ask. What car did the valve body come out of? Is it a 'BRF' code tranny?
