hello, i currently have 20" wheels on my 84 buick regal with a v6, SBB 350 is getting built. i would like to know if anyone has this set up (350 and 20"s) and are riding comfortable (no scraping) and what springs did you use or how did you accomplish this? i do not want to use a lift kit, if thats the only solution i am going to get some rally wheels, any input is appriciated.

ok....crickets....... does anyone know if the old 60's buick poverty caps will fit on my 14" buick steel wheels that came on my 84 regal? it says they measure 10" across on the inside, i love the way these look but a lil pricey if they dont fit...anyone?

Measure your wheels where the caps go on, that'll tell you.

I know of many stock suspension v8 g-bodys with and 20" wheels with no problems at all.
As long as backspace and tire width are correct, you should be fine.

i will try that, im just thinking without knowing how the cap attaches it might be a gamble spending 100+ bucks on caps that arent gonna work....thanks

    thanks william,

i have learned that the sbb 350 is only an additional 50 lbs, so i may not have to worry, i just learned about the poverty caps and they look pretty damn slick, i think i am gonna get me a seet of these as well if i can find someone who has used them on 80's 14" buick wheels...

The tire size is what you have to worry about. And are they 20x8.5 or 20x10.

the ride is ok with the v6, very slight rub on front pass side, already had fenders rolled...front are 20x8.5 and 20x10 in rear, tires are 30 and 35's
i believe...rear has air shocks and has never been a problem, front has newer springs and new shocks...i am thinking of doing 1" spring spacers in front..i really dont want it too high, just 20" wheel stance is fine with me.

    26.7" tall x 11" wide and 27'' tall x 10" wide

They are a little tall for front. Do you know the offset or back spacing?

backspacing unofficially 6". i say unofficially because i measured it. this is on the fronts....which are the only problem (with v6) oHHHHHH and i use 1" wheels spacers on those fronts...stance is nice but rides like i have wagon wheels, i know this is because my wheel tire combo...i am going to get me some better fitting wheels soon, but right now im in the middle of the 350 transplant....
