    Hi guys,

A fellow at work has a dual quad intake for a nailhead and I was interested in picking it up. I think it's a factory unit but have not seen it yet. Just wondering what these go for?

He also has a complete 425 engine I might grab too if the price is right. He said he traded a '65 GS to a guy for a set of big block headers for his Dart! He knows where the car is still, so I'm going to check it out. Apparantly the guy is planning on dropping a BBC in it. :error: I'll see if I can rescue it before it's too late!

    Thanks,
    Brian

I've seen them on ebay lately go for between $300 and $500. There is a difference between the 64 and the 65/66 intake.

Thanks Larry. Will the intakes interchange between years, or is it just a slightly different design? Is on more desirable than the other?

Brian, they will interchange for the most part. The differences are very slight and may not be noticeable depending on what carbs and kickdown you are running. The 64 casting number ends in 06 while the 65/66 casting ends in 16. The boss for the kickdown switch bracket is higher on the 65/66 casting because of a difference in kickdown switches and brackets. The coil mounting area is a bit different too because of the need to clear the kickdown switch.
