I have an issue I would like to resolve. Changed out rear coils for a lower stance. Looks great but if I jack car on frame and allow rear diff to lower I can reach up and remove the coil spring (So in short under the right conditions I could ride over a whoop dee do and have the rear coils fall out or at the very least fall sideways from their top and bottom supports). I there a shorter shock available with less travel? Or can I limit the rear end drop by installing some type of wire at top and bottom of the shock absorber. Any thoughts?

Yup. Shorter shocks would help with that.

Any thoughts on where I would find these elusive shorty shocks? :Brow:

You could also make some limiting straps. I've made them out of ratchet strap webbing. Fixed the same problem on a VW golf that was lowered. Can also be used to to tune body roll.

Could you retrofit some old 1964-style rear coil spring bolt plates? The stock plates bolt the coil to the differential.
