You'll find that most of the 73's will have the trunk stainless, but the 71 and 72 variety are pretty rare. Make sure you grab the quarter extensions too! Those are important, unless you want to try drilling holes in your current extensions to make the chrome fit.

Greetings all.. Finally got the chance to go out and check on the trimming. Good thing I did because the car was scheduled to be crushed in about a week :shock: . The car was a 1971. I pulled all of the trunk trim and and even the little rubber "V insulators" on the top corners of the rear bumper. Are the trunk moulding lips for sale ? I just need the left (driver's side) one arround the fender extension....And before Smartin takes it :grin:
If you're out there again by any chance, see if the car is a non a/c car, I'm after the big plate that sits on the firewall on the passenger side that sits where all the a/c stuff goes normally..
74 lesabres (not all of them and not even all of the luxus models) had a trunk moulding across the bottom of the trunk lid ... i have not been able to find one for over 12 years... most fell off on the way home fro the dealership. i have only seen 3 ever. once i saw was on a really nice 74 vert. i offered the guy 400 bux for the piece of trim. he said "you have no idea how long it took me to find that , and i wont EVEN tell you how much it cost me. that piece of trim is why i park this thing in the garage EVERY night" ....LOL :laugh: they didnt offer them on 75 and 76 models. if i could find a usable one, oh baby. :bglasses:
