David Dixon died 2 weeks ago. Those of y'all from outside the state don't know him. He was a TRUE gentleman. He was the one responsible for N.O. getting a NFL team and for making sure we could get the dome. He has a banner in his honor hanging in the dome for many years now!!:shock:

I had the honor to meet him several months ago at his house to have him sign his book on all the back stories and we became fast friends. I only got to speak to him in person twice, the rest of the times were on the phone. Imagine Forrest Gump- with high iIQ and you had him. He was born into "upper-crist N.O.", and was always at the right place at the right time, but he worked hard for this city.
It wouldn't be the same without him by a long shot. He was even going to give me HIS personal seats from Tulane Stadium from the first season. I may not get them, but I got to meet him!.

The bengals will not be going to the superbowl, TO's ego, especially when combined with ochocinco's is going to be really detrimental to the team, he is going to cause drama just like he did on every team he was ever on. He needs to get back into the game and less into himself. Those 2 on a team will lead to some cool celebration dances/fines though.
If Favre can make it through without breaking his hip or something then maybe they will go.
Saints seemed to get lucky almost every game last year (but not against my boys!:grin: ) we'll see what happens.
But one team that will be in Dallas is DALLAS, first team in NFL history to play in their home for the Superbowl, in the most beautiful stadium in the league with the top down so God can watch his team play...and I will do nothing short of selling my own kidney and hitchike to Texas to be there, wont be able to afford a ticket, but believe me ill be in that parkinglot!

I was happy to see the saints win the big game last year, however after that game against the pats in the first pre-season game they may have a tough time getting back.

I know it was the first game but the offense looked really out of sync.

 

Great to see another Colts fan on the board. Congrats Saints you finally got a championship after 30years. Don't get ahead of yourself saying you will be back. Peyton wanted to give his home state a championship after all the problems the state has been having with natural disasters and all. Its coming back to Indy and no one is poised to stop them. The only reason we lost games is because we pulled starters. The superbowl wasn't our day but I promise you; it wont be easy this year.

Its funny I have to go to a car forum to get good football banter!!!!!! My peyton comment was tongue in cheek. . . . .I actually didn't really mind losing to the Saints; i'm starting to get aggrivated by sean payton and don't know why? I wish we could played freeney more in the superbowl him on 1 wheel isn't effective at all; but then again who would be! Peyton is a first ballot HOFer regardless of if he gets a 2nd ring. Drew Brees went to Purdue so anybody from IN is good my book! And look at the other positives Reggie Bush doesn't have to deal with Kim Kardashian!!!!! Yay for him!

 

I dont hate the colts as much as the steelers in present day, however there will always be a nagging pain towards you all...always hate when a team leaves...but now i am more aggrivated that we can't beat you all to get to the damn SHIP!!!

Alright J-Pop, let's see how well your team's first stringers match up against my San Diego Super Chargers! I'm pretty sure we've got a DL or LB that remembers rushing Brees in that Red jersey while he was in San Diego. They're chomping at the bit now that the "two hand touch" rule has been lifted!

Should be a good test for our team. So far this pre-season the starters for Chicago and Dallas have put up very little fight.

If Goodman is returning kicks for us, I predict a return for TD. He's averaging something around 38 yards a return and NO's kick coverage has been awful!
