Hi all, I mostly play with Oldsmobiles but I recently found 2 '70 Rivieras & a '68 Lesabre convertible in a yard. At least one of the Rivs has a posi rear & I think it's a 455 engine. One of them is/was a Riviera GS maybe?? Is there such a thing? I can see where the GS emblem was on the fender. One of them had buckets & the other has the strato bench seat. One has electric rear defog & the other has the fan type?? The buckets & console are gone & I robbed some of the bucket seat parts from the strato bench, but it is still a pretty complete car. I'm in Indianapolis & can ship most things. Please call me for faster service as it's been quite a while since I've been on this site. Thanks. Hello Oldspackrat, First and foremost, welcome to V8Buick. The 70 Riv's look fair. The Riv in front with the cream color in the first picture has cornering lamps and I am interested in these. I take it the white Riv behind the cream colored Riv is the GS. The GS emblem for the 1970 Riv's were placed on the front quarter panel above the side marker lamps. Be advised the tail lenses for 70 Riv's are hard to find. ---------- Post added at 09:00 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:54 AM ---------- Oops, the cream colored Riv is the Riv GS as I can see the mounting holes for the GS emblem above the cornering lights. Somebody sucked these up as they are sought after. Unfortunately, somebody likely cloned a Riv to a GS Riv as a result. I may be interested in the Posi as well on the Riv GS. It should be a 3.42 to 1 ratio.
