Hi Folks, I have 2 nice 15X8 Rallye wheels without center caps. They are located in Rockwall, TX 75087. $150 plus shipping or pick up. Thanks, Ed
Hey guys, Just sent an email to my mechanic to confirm width and that they are true. Let you know asap!
My mechanic confirmed to me that the wheels are 15x8 according to his best measuring with the tires mounted. The wheels appear true, no dents, cracks. I am selling only because I put 14" wheels on my GS and took these off. I don't need them. Thanks for your interest. Ed
Would you consider selling just the rims? Also please check the edge back rim by the valve stem and post any markings
Hi, I sure would. I have been balking at the cost of having the tires removed. I think it will cost me about 40 bucks. My restoration man doesn't have the tools to do it himself. I suppose I can raise the price on the wheels and get the tires removed. If no one buys them, I will just ship them back here to NZ. Stay tuned! Ed
No problem. If anyone in the Dallas/Ft Worth area is interested in picking them up, let me know. Thanks
Hello NZ GS 400. I am in Chattanooga Tn, (Yes where the rotten isis terrorist just killed 5 service men). I am interested in your 2 wheels. Please let me know if they are still available. Thank You Sir!!!!!!!! Mark
I don't want to ruin a sale for anybody but I agree with those that said they look like 15 x 7. There never was a factory 15 x 8 wheel like that, only aftermarket. Some of the aftermarket used a new center that were all chrome on the spokes between the blacked out area and some used "refurbished" factory centers that had the brushed look. They look brushed to me. The one thing the 8" wide wheels would have in common is the drum itself which would have to be new aftermarket and that would be easy to see just by the look of it especially from the backside. Unless factory wheels were split and then a 1" section was added and it would be easy to see from the dual welds from the backside. Wheel width is measured from the inside bead to inside bead. How big are those tires? They don't look particularly tall so I would guess 235-60-15 and they look(from the side view) like the tread is just about as wide as the wheel. If they are 235 then those are 7" no doubt. An 8" wheel will handle a 275 60 15 with no real bulge of the sidewall and a 275 50 15 with only minimal bulge. Both of the 275 tire's tread would look only slightly larger than the rim of an 8" wheel. A 255 tire on an 8" would probably look like the tread is narrower than the rim. Like I said I'm not trying to ruin a sale but shipping will cost a couple of bucks and the buyer's day will really be ruined if they are not as described. Just trying to save some bad feelings. Plus the size of the tires was never mentioned which may help the OP sell the set.
