1986 SuperCar Showdown....

Who else was there? Found a t-shirt from the event.....

Had my X there.......

 

I wasn't there but I have the VHS tape of the event!

 

I was there with Norm and Ken Dihle racing their 1970 GS455 Convertible.

 

Dale Collins and Lawrence Conley were there as well....pretty sure Gary Paine was also....

 

I think I still have the front license plate from the event

 

Raced against a guy last weekend that wasn't old enough to see over the fence at the local track I used to run the X (75/80). He said it is one of his earliest car memories.....now he's like 6'4"....I feel old.....

 

Yep, we were there too.Can't believe it was 33 years ago.

 

I know Gary....we were youngsters........you had your 69 there, right?

 

I did. I believe I added about 800 miles since then. lol

 

I can't believe all the places I drove and raced at back then (no trailer)....drove the X to BG (13hrs each way) and raced it (12.80s) right before I sold it......great trip
BQUICK: BG ....ran high 10s, Englishtown (3hrs) mid 10s, etc.....not that brave(or stupid) anymore.....
