Here is a rundown of the car.
1985 Regal T-Type with the WH1 designer package, one of 525 built, one of only a handful built with the 60/40 split bench seat. Grey interior. My father ordered this car brand new...it was his company car, he bought it from the company when they retired it in 1988, it's got about 120,000 miles on it, 80,000 or so were put on it in the 85-88 time frame, mostly highway miles, still in factory paint although the upper black has had some touch ups, needs new paint...I've been torn over this since it is "survivor" paint but it really needs paint now. Does have new bumper fillers front and rear and is rolling new 215/65/15 Cooper Cobra tires also have a set of wheels with OEM 215/65/15 Goodyear Eagle GT white letter tires . It has a GNX style dash but I do have an NOS dash face plate and a stock speedo(and a stock speedo converted to 145mph) also has a RamBlo ram air setup....I have all parts to return it to stock as well as many many NOS parts including a full emblem set (minus the "Buick" for the trunk lid) the turbo was replaced in 1993 and just has a few thousand miles on it (under 20,000) and is in great shape. The rear end was a 3.42:1 one legger but I installed a Powertrax locker in it(have stock parts). The alternator has been replaced but I still have the black powder coated original. The power antenna(tri band) is broken but it was dealer installed, came with a fixed mast(I do not have this but do have a new repo GN antenna in the box). It has power locks and wind up windows, twilight sentinal, concert sound II am/fm/cassette (currently has a JVC CD player in it but have the factory radio), tilt, cruise, delay wipers, power trunk release, rear defrost. I have a total of 10 stock wheels for the car.
I have tons of paperwork as well. Window sticker, most every receipt from new to 2004ish, all owners manual and related documents (everything that would have been in the glovebox) I even have the order form that my Father filled out for the car. I waited 19 years to get the car (got it in 2004) but just do not drive it and I'm doing the car a great disservice by letting it deteriorate, the car needs a good home, a better home than I'm giving it currently. My wife wants a 62 Skylark so that is the reason I've finally decided to cut this one loose. It's a tough decision to sell something that is pretty much a family member.

I'm asking $4900, I feel that this is a good deal for a very rare car

The car is located in the Fayetteville North Carolina area

All the pics can be seen here (these pics are a couple years old but a fair representation except that the paint is worse now

Well Alan, you know I've always kind of resented this car because I had to sell The Wagon to get it and then it turned on me, it's the reason I was not at the first BPG nats, then there was the chasing the intermittent no fuel/spark issue for 4 years (turns out that was a loose crank sensor...just loose enough to vibrate in an out of adjustment) yeah, it's tough and I think I might have it underpriced but I don't know. I know that the car is a blast to drive and makes all kinds of power but I don't find it comfortable like the older cars, it bothers my screwed up back. I'm going to feel Baaaaad selling it, I still haven't told my Dad that I have it up for sale but I feel it's the right thing to do....I just hope it happens fast like ripping a band aid off but short answer is yeah, I'm probably going to regret it in the morning. I'll be really mad if I'm not able to get my wife that 62 Skylark she wants, and I really want to get he one.....she deserves it just for putting up with me for 11 years.

    Kurt,

When you say, the paint is worse now. Is it just sun faded? How are the frame and lower panels, Any surface rust?
Is the interior close to the same as the pictures show? Thanks, John.

frame and lowers are clean, paint is fading out bad...paint is 27 years old and had just given up. I've been working on the interior some...removed the CB and phone and had the instrument bezel off, it will need the speedo replaces as it gave up too, I have the VDO 160 speedo we took out when we put the 120 in (my dad has a vision problem and the 120 was easier to read)
John, I'm working Saturday but will try to get some new pics on Sunday (I might be going a couple hours away to look at a 71 Boat Tail project though)

    Kerry,
As for the Tranny, possibly, this boat tail I'm looking at has no engine or transmission, I'll part out the Electra if I have to but would rather not

John, will do, things have just been crazy the last couple of weeks and I work every other Saturday so my weekend time is short....can't wait for summer to get here so the days are longer again!

    Hey Kurt,

Just wanted to wish you good luck with the sale. Sounds like a very fair price. The turbo nationals will be here in Burlington in May. You should come over and check it out. I have some work to do to the 87Turbo T before then, but should have things all worked out and take her to the show. Give me a heads up if you plan on attending.

    OK,
I just uploaded 8 pics to the photobucket page, I took these pics less than an hour ago.

I should also mention that if I lose out on the 62 Skylark I'm trying to buy I'll probably pull this car off the market as that is the main reason I'm actually selling it.
