    Hello everyone,

New to this board and have a question. I just picked up a 1952 Roadmaster sitting on a 78 Regal chassis, I also have a 73 455 buick and th400 transmission for it. Are there any motor mount that will work with this? Any factory transmission mount or do I have to make one?

    Thanks

TA performance sells the frame pads you'll need, but you do have to drill the cross member and bolt up. There's a leveling and centering write up in the FAQ for this forum.

The rear cross member is also a pain - you need the short shaft TH400, and a new cross member if you intend to run dual exhaust.

I really appreciate your response, I couldn't find anything on the TA performance site. If I use the frame pads, would I then use a stock motor mount? I saw that 455's were offered in Lesabres until 76.

When you say I need a short shaft th400, is that because of driveshaft issues?

They're a bit tricky to find:

...they are about 2/3rd's of the way down the page.

The stock motor mounts will do fine if you pick up those pads.

The short shaft is the only one that will mount onto the cross member properly. The long shaft has the bolt up location set a bit too far back to be stable. YOu'll still need to slice up the driveshaft...

Thanks alot, there is already a lot of fabrication needed on this car, so anything I can buy will save me a lot of work.
