1975 Buick Indy 500 Pace Car on Ebay

Just saw an ad for a Buick Indy pace car. i have seen this car up for sale a few times. Wonder if it will sell this time? At present cheaper than I would sell mine for.

Says "Replica", not worth anything really. Would love a Real 1 though!

 

Every one was a replica. There is two real ones that are equipped with the 455 and there are both in museums. They found out that the 455 couldn't hang in 1975. That's why the following year it was a turbo v6 leading the races. The start of the turbo v6. Era

 

And once again he has pulled the car off sale quoting there was an error in the ad. This car has been for sale at least 4 times on Ebay and every time he pulls it with 1 day remaining.

 

I wonder why this keeps happening. I was interested to see the selling price. As far as " really not being with anything" that's ridiculous.

Been in the works since October. Finally got her on the road 2 weeks ago. This was one of Pat Neils. Collection in Dallas. He was the gentleman who had that 73 stage 1 4 speed sun coupe. Here's a few pics.

So I asked the seller a question. I asked if there was a buy it now and what's the deal with the add getting pulled? Response: "The deal is we are not giving it away" Hmmm. Great communication skills. I know if I was selling anything, I wouldn't be a jerk. My first sentence asked for I buy it now price. Obviously they would rather keep the car.

That car actually has quite a bit of history to it, and is well known in the GSCA.

 

Thanks Tom. I know a little of the history. Have a fair amount of paperwork from Pat. The only information I don't have is about the engine and what all has been done to it. I believe there is someone who knows about this rebuild and it's possibly a board member. If so..... boy would I have a few words for them. I just sunk a bynch of money in the motor and it still isn't right.

 

I noticed that as well. I asked him the last time he had it listed what he wanted for it and he answered " you don't have the money" This guy did not even know me. Will never sell like that.

I was told that by Billions and Trillions parts place quite a few years ago when I called about a right side mirror "Yep we got one, but you cant afford it" :spank:
