1973 Stage1 Carburetor

Looking for a 1973 Stage1 carburetor #7043242. If anyone has one or knows someone who does let me know. Willing to pay top $.

 

I will keep an eye out for it,I have either a last run Stage carb or distributor.
Sorry my memory with this hoard is gone

 

Well, I have one and was planning on using it on one of my '70s...but let's see if anyone else has one before I make a decision to part with it.

I’ve got a 71 stage 1 carb if interested

I also have a 71 Stage 1 carburetor sitting around.

 

Just asked John. Sorry, but he thinks/pretty sure it is just a big block 1970 Carb not a Stage1. Maybe you will decide to use the '71 you have? If you do decide to sell the '73 Carb I would love a chance to buy it.

Thanks, I have a few other carbs, but really want/need a '73 Stage1 carburetor.

 

Find two, I need one too. I passed on one in Hemmings for 400.00 like 10 years ago -if I could go back and have a little chat with myself.....

 

Buick nationals 2021 I had some of my 73 parts stash for sale. I wasn’t racing because I bent a pushrod on the way from Nashville and arrived too late Friday to qualify. I did stroll into the circle and talked with Phil briefly about his car. I mentioned I had some rare 73 parts for sale at my friends booth, Phil said he would stop by for a look but never did. I had a nice 7043242 carb that day and ended up selling it to John Chamberlain for a meager 400. Hindsight’s always 20/20. I’ll see you in the middle this year, I’m running gsr with my 73, 11.8 to qualify.

 

I must have totally forgotten. I usually don't paas up the oportunity to buy spare parts. Had a lot going on dealing with Cancer at the time.

I had a 73 stage-1 engine and trans. I sold the engine but kept the dist, carb and BB trans. I cannot remember if I sold the carb or not. I will not be able to check until probably June.

 

Sounds good to me. If you find a ‘73 carburetor please let me know.

 

It took several years until a set came up on ebay I bought for my my car. I paid 375 for those 5 or 6 years ago. I haven’t seen another set since. They do sell an aftermarket plastic set

 

Yea, don’t want plastic.
