Ok, I now officially know that the 455 engine that my wife got me for Christmas was pulled from a '73 Lesabre. It probably doesn't make any difference which car model it came out of, but at least now I know for sure that it's a '73. The only difference between this engine and the more powerful 455s from earlier years is the dished pistons isn't it?? Happy new year guys!:beer
Yes, you can rebuild the engine to any spec you want....you have a good engine to start a rebuild project.
