Hmm, I just might have to get my brother to check that one out for me...............unless that Ken K. gets to it first.uzzled:   I *think* he lives close to that area.
Hey Ken, I had a feeling that you just *might* have already known about this one. Unfortunately for me, my brother and his wife are leaving Calgary for Winnipeg sometime tomorrow, and they won't be back until late next week. I gotta stop this looking at more cars, and get cracking on the one in my garage.ou: ou:
I know what you mean I am selling my 64 and my wagon all for not though i still have my 63 to bring home from Seattle HAHAHAHA Ken ps good to see you again
I only pop in when I'm at home, as when I'm working, it's all business. Besides, if I were to spend time here during my road trips, I'd never get any sleep.
just to let you guys know...i've already made a verbal agreement with the owner to purchase this vehicle.the owner left my place with a pair of fenders & a windshield for his skylark. hey Ken,probably see you the middle of September.
Nice Buy Ken So a U code 455 is the top engine option in regular Century line? Only the V code Stage 1 455 had to be coupled with Gran sport Package correct? I have seen 73 Buick Gran Sport Non Stage 455 cars and they have a 455 emblem mounted on leading edge of front fender where Stage 1 emblem would mount would a Century not recieve same 455 emblem? Also,on a non Gran Sport Century in 73-74 equipped with Standard 455 was it not mandatory to have heavy duty suspension ( rear sway bar,HD Shocks and Springs ) that were part of Gran sport option or were these Century's with 455 still equipped with standard suspension? Ken what is the factory color combo and option load on this car? By the way nice car have fun:TU:
got it home this weekend.still on trailer.checked the trim tag.no option sheet found.will have a closer look when i get it in the garage.this is what i figired out so far: 73 4ah57 = 1973 buick century lexus 2dr hardtop. tr 136 =saddle (interior color) A65 +notchback bench seat. body paint = 69 69 (dark brown listed on registration).i will check color charts at work. i might have to contact gm canada vintage to get option codes. just looking the car over,it doesn't have many options. has p/s,p/b,tilt column. no a/c.only has front sway bar that looks to be about 7/8". no rear sway bar.has a 10 bolt corporate diff (round cover). has century lexus badges on lower front fenders.only 455 emblem is in the grill where the gs would go. will get a couple pics on the weekend. should be a fun car.excellent for testing rear tire longevity.
it is a very sweet car indeed and if you do not have a rear bar in your collection i may have one in my garage i can bring with me up to red deer in Oct you will need the boxing plates that go inside the factory arms. Ken and I as well as a couple frinds pputnthis puppy together saterday and it is really a great deal !!!! maybe that why Derick never offered it to me HAHAHAH i may have said yes !!! Ken
Wow, seems like a pretty good deal. I'm looking at buying a 73 Century 455 here in AZ on Saturday for 3700 and I thought that was a good deal.
