Yes Tom. I just sold him the car minus engine/trans. He put the 400 in it to get it driveable. It was a hard to sell it but I really like the gsx style. It is Tom at Baker Auto. I think he had someone list it for him on Ebay.

You and a bunch of other people from around the Charlotte area. 99% remember seeing the back of it mostly though....lol

If I remember correctly the only real spankings we got was from
-Tony something that had the burgundy 69 Camaro lic tag CMEGOBYU
that car was really fast!! He eventually ran it in NMCA trim but like the rest of us probably couldn't afford to keep up with the northern guys' money spending
    - Some dude from Rock Hill that shut his car down and rolled down "the hill" That's the only way I can figure we didnt hear it cause when he started it up, we knew we were in trouble... full roller motor, probably 13to1 and I could tell the cam had a lobe separation with plenty of nitrous in mind...
I got the hit on him outa the hole but immediately after the 1-2 shift I saw him roll by my passenger window like he was on a Sunday stroll... lololol

But that's alright cause I built a 93 lx hatchback streetcar that went 9's in 1998-99 in full street legal trim and took my revenge on many many SBC's.
It wasn't a Buick, but at least it wasn't Chevrolet or Chrysler product!

BTW Eddie- dunno if u know this or not, but Todd Beaver always talked smack about that 440 Challenger and that Hemi Cuda they had, but he never grew a set big enough to pull them out... the cars that is... :TU:

Jason, It's been a long time! I hope you and your family are doing well. Talk like this makes me regret selling it even more. I have lots of great memories of those days. I almost went back red with it but after talking with Tom several times decided to take the original path. I even bought a nos set of the centerline pro stocks to go on it which I still have. (never know down the road:TU:) The engine came out great. It is really strong. Should run low 12's in the GSX. Take care, Ed

I do miss the old days from time to time, of course I left Charlotte in 86 when I joined the Air Force. I wish I had gotten to buy Race's boat tail too but did buy the burned up wagon to do my wagon with!

The seller responded to my e-mail...
"Not numbers matching, and it's listed under skylark because there is not
another selection title to list under. thank you."

You pulled the numbers 455 out of such a rare car? Seems kind of a shame but to each their own. :beer

    Nice car.

    Well, Ken:
That engine was blown to bits about 22 years ago. To the best of my memory that car hasn't had the numbers matching engine in it since the fall of 1986, or '87. "BigDogRacing" had a heavy foot. Oh well!

Oh, I thought I read it was pulled to put into a GSX at 550hp. Maybe I misread.

The engine that was in it when I sold the car to Tom Baker was built by one of our own. An esteemed member that goes by "Collector". He is a good engine builder.
