Hey guys I recently stumbled across a 1973 Buick Lesabre my house. Its a 4dr 455 brl, green with vynl top. I'm a GS guy and really don't know much about lesabres but the owner is asking 700 and it hasn't ran in 8 years and is sitting out in a pasture. Any advice or insight would be great thanks

I just sold a running driving 4 door sedan 73 LeSabre for $600. It was reasonably solid, too. It was a small block, though.

Drivetrain is the same as the A-body cars, 455 with th400. The trans will be a long tailshaft though. The body and interior is hard to find parts for. The car is great to cruise in and long trips can just breeze by. It's also great for families or those who take their pets for rides since it has a back seat that's easy to get to.

The big things to worry about is how badly has it rotten from sitting. Why hasn't it been running. Can you prove that it is in fact a 455 since the standard choice was the 350. If you are happy with the answers to those questions than it could be a very nice car for the money, as long as you intend it to be a daily driver or a custom. You couldn't restore one of the 70's fullsize cars without lots of time and money since parts are almost impossible to find.
