I will shrink the pics and post them to my profile here later. In the meantime, check out my photo album. These are the "before" pics... but there isn't much to do to other than an extra stereo system to be installed next Spring. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=250318&id=684384126&l=ca3a3cc8c3
That's a nice Electra, John :TU: !! No need to shrink those Facebook photos, they are only 720 pixels wide.
Very nice. I am parting out a 73 Electra with a green interior but vinyl seats. Let me know if you are looking for any parts. Exterior is a light geen.
Ha! The classic Buick bug has bit me, so I would love to hoard away interior parts for a latter day. My interior is a dark green, but I think/hope there weren't many shades of interior green used for Buick at the time. The only interior part I am missing for now is something likely many have... the angled silver thingie that covers a screw for the door pull. Obviously I don't know what its proper name is. But I suspect it is the same on all GM vehicles of the era. Thanks all for the nice compliments. I would love to take credit for the restore, but what you see is what I bought it as just a month ago. I consider myself quite lucky. I picked it up for a very good price too. A few people have told me to sell it for a profit now, but I didn't buy it for that reason. Funny how many don't understand the concept. The audio upgrade I am thinking of will be of minimal visual impact (glove compartment). I want to keep her looking original. And I am keeping the factory AM/FM radio hooked up to the remaining working dash speaker. There is something cool about listening to the radio off that old speaker... and the tactile feel of the radio controls. Again, others don't understand... but I suspect many here do.
The whole car is mainly complete except for some parts that I have sold off. Too bad you are so far away.
