    Hello All,

Does anyone have a set of seat belts for a Buick Apollo they would be interested in selling?

    Thank You!

I know there are several Apollo's in the local yard; should be the same as Nova, Omega, Ventura, and Apollo. (that's how I remember the 'cousin cars' NOVA from the first letter of each.
What color are you looking for, and to be picky, are you looking for a specific date code on the label? Do you need the ENTIRE set, front and rear?
I don't know when they started the hatchbacks, versus standard trunk lid, or if that makes a difference in seat belts, but never know...
Send me a PM as well as respond here, for other people's info as to your needs.

    Hello Steve,

My car is a standard two door and is not a hatchback. I prefer a set of black belts. The date codes do not matter. I hope this helps! Thanks in advance!

Another great question!!! It is a bench seat. I primarily need the two front outer belts with retractors and plastic covers. However I would take a whole set of they are black because the belts that I have are green and will need to be dyed black. This is for my dads car and I am hoping to have this for a Christmas present. This is the one present that will make him happy!!!

Good shot at getting black bench! By the way, don't try using RIT or any other cloth dye; all you'll end up doing is transferring the dye off the nylon to ANYTHING that comes in contact with it after is gets wet from sweat. (I know from personal experience). Try using fabric dye in the spray cans in automotive parts stores. (That works good.) Also, clean the bejesus out of belts! You'll be amazed at how much GUNK is in seatbelts. I used a pressure washer with fan spray after soaking in hot water with simple green. You probably get the same results with a do-it-yourself wand style car wash. after soaking. You can use old school clothes pins to keep the belt extended, or a set of vice grips. Be sure to blow out the mechanism with air.
SHOULD be going there tomorrow or Wednesday. And his Prices are VERY reasonable; probably less than $50 for the set, plus shipping. No promises, though. His prices vary with his mood, the weather, how much he's sold recently, etc. Al's any old school guy; Actually, he IS an old guy (83). His son and grandson work there as well.

Better go with newmexguy; All I've found aren't worth crap, or the wrong color, or wrong body style...Hey at least I tried...And it's good therapy.
Also, If yours are correct, get some auto parts store spray vinyl and fabric dye (like duplicolor or similar) after a good cleaning. Extend it out on a board and nail to hold each end.

Dug these out. Washed and boxed these up, about a year ago. From 73 - 74 Nova and Apollo. Roughly 1 and 7/8 sets. Most have '74 date codes. The covers (sheathes) on the front belts are not in good shape, plastics do not do well after 40+ years of sun, heat, and use. Drivers side shoulder belts cut. Two good upper front retractor covers from the 74 Apollo, but they are green. There are seat belt specialists out there. S-S-Snake-Oyl, etc. Just about all the metal parts are here and in good serviceable shape. Most everything here, including floor bolts (T-50).
