Can anyone tell me about the lesabre? I have a 72 350/4
bought from Bellingham Wa very close to Vancouver a daily driver wanted to the real specs on it. Wikipedia says that they downgraded the hp in 72 and Egr was a big issue but I have no egr or the 5 mph bumper and so on. I've read some model buicks bought near Canada had posi and different motor applications. I've recently changed to a hei distributer and I have power I've never felt from it before especially the burning out I think I mite have positive traction. Very strong motor love the fell of it in a big car. Any suggestions just wondering.

The major difference between 71 and 72 HP ratings is the WAY they rated them. Their actual numbers are probably going to be within close range of each other.

If you have a posi, there usually is a small metal tag on the lower right side of the rear end cover. Do both wheels spin when you do a burnout?

positraction would have been an option. if u have a posi both wheels will spin if the posi is functional. U may also hear some chatter from the rear end when u turn about 90*. there was no air pump on the buick '72 350 v8 engines for cars exported from the u.s. new to canada or built in canada.
