I remember purchasing the both used seal plates for my '72 GS back in 2002 for $50 u.s..

 

You may still find used ones for around that price point. (These are new and Made in the USA so part of the price. . . . )

I can't believe how much shifters and consoles have went up!!

 

Maybe 7 or 8 years ago, I attended a flea market. A fellow was selling a console & shifter off a 70 Buick. It was in good condition. I passed on it but 5 minutes later I returned & it was gone. Price $50 !!
