    1972 GS455 engine - non-Stage 1

Bare block, will need to be overbored .030 as the rear cylinders have some pitting. Was told that they will clean up. Block was tanked & checked for cracks and painted, been on the stand ever since. Also have the rods, pistons (2 sets I think), 2 intakes, rebuilt heads (1972 w/ the AIR holes), all the tin, useable front cover, good crank that will need to be machined to clean it up, Stage 1 cam (no lifters) that is still in the box, some NOS GM gaskets (no bathtub gasket), new 455 oil pump.

This is a project/spare that my son & I never got around to doing. There is no carb. Asking $450 or best offer. I am located in So. WI near Madison.

I will be going thru all my Buick stuff and posting what I don't need anymore. Car will be getting a 5.3 or 6.0 LS based engine and 4L60E trans.

I will also be listing my RUNNING 1971 455 Stage 1 engine & trans. Has about 15,000 miles on it since rebuild (still std bore). This is still in the car and we can/will run it to verify condition to the buyer. TH400 was also rebuilt, runs shifts fine, but takes forever to build line pressure(???). My trans guys thinks that they left out a one way valve and it is draining back into the pan. I will also include another known good TH400 that has a broken bellhousing (yeah, I did that) that could run an ultra bell and be just fine. I'm thinking that this would be in the $1000/1200 range. Please let me know if I'm totally wrong on this one. [Car stays running for now]

    Thoughts?

This is a nearly complete GS455 engine. $400.oo Still at standard bore, degreased, painted and was checked for cracks. Will need to go .030 over. Was told that it will clean up at that bore size. Heads are done and have been on the shelf for the past 10 years. This is a project I won't get to.

    She needs home!
