    Thanks
    Herb

Sloan documented Stage 1 4 speed. The trans is numbers matching but the engine is a 70-71 455 that ran when pulled but I think it has a bad rod bearing. I pulled the engine and trans to restore the car but my plans have changed and I want to sell it. The car is originally a silver mist, black vinyl roof, black bucket interior with 4 speed console. A/C car , Power front disc brakes without power steering. It has a 3.90 posi 8.5 non original rear. The car is in pretty good shape.
Paint--Poor, currently in blue with a GSX scheme
    Frame-- Solid no rust
    Floor pans-- Need patching
    Trunk pan---Needs to be replaced
    Front fenders- Ok
    Rear qtrs--- Need patching
Grill---Complete but a few cracks (I have a mint grill that can be negotiated with sale) see below
    Hood---Good shape
    Doors--Solid no rust
    interior---Need recovering
    Core support---Needs to be replaced
Bumpers- both straight, need rechrome for show car

    Asking 8000.00 B.O.

Call Dave 781 910 8301 for more info

The car looks better than in the pictures. It was sitting in a garage on jacks for 14 years so as you can see it has a lot of dust. It is a Tennessee car and brought to Minnesota sometime in the 70's.
I bought the car from the owners estate as he died a few years back. He owned a body shop and obviously used this car as a work bench!!!:Dou:

The four speed trans is numbers matching. The engine that was in it when I bought was not original but was rebuilt and luckily never fired because I pulled the engine to inspect it and found that the oil pickup tube was not installed:Do No:

It also has a nice original Hurst shifter and four speed console.

It should be noted that there is no engine in the car now and delivery may be included depending on the location.

Decent builder but $8000.00 seems real high....

For a matching numbers 4 speed tranny 72 stage 1.... whats it worth then? I see you only have 9 posts maybe you are out of tune on the prices of these cars. If you know of one for less money please post a link I am sure we would all like to see it.
    Thanks

I really like this car but it needs a lot of work and the restoration will be expensive. To make this a show winner it needs a total frame off and if you dont own a restoration shop, the restoration will cost (you) in the area of $100K. Sure it's a 1972 four speed, but it's rough needing a trunk, radiator support and stuff we're not sure of. Not trying to reduce the purchase price but considering the economy and the costs of restoring a car, its anyones guess as to what itll cost restoring it. I would suggest storing it away and see what happens in another year when the economy gets better.

8 grand is not a bad price but get ready to open your check book for restoration costs, this car will test the marriage of someone not supportive. Hopefully it lands in the hands of someone who knows the Buick brand and restores this car to its potential. I'm speaking of someone who knows, my second wife has been really cool.. Good luck.

Okay guys I am trying to help a friend sell his car and it really burns my ass that I have people throwing in there two cents and cant show a similar car for less to back up their claim. :af: His price is negotiable, he is willing to transport the car for free within reason, and I don't feel the price is out of line or I would not have posted it. Happy 4th

    docgsx It's not a GTX

I love it when the "experts" all jump in. It happened to me when i selling my 70 Stage1.

Were you asking for anyone to give their opinion? I know I was not when I was selling my car.
