Looking for nice condition body side moldings. The moldings that are in the middle of the door, fender and quarter panel. 6 pieces that consist of metal piece that attaches to body and a black insert. If you have one or two of the 6, let me know what you have.

Update: I think I have found 4 of the 6 pc needed. Still looking for LH front fender pc and another rear quarter pc

I didn't know there was a difference bet. '71-2. Not sure about the '71 type 1 & 2. They look the same exc. maybe one LH & one RH? I'll have to check on that as I have a '71 & am considering putting these back on. Have a nice set but tbh not sure if they're '71 or '72.

    If '72 I'd sell them.

The ‘71 type 1 & 2 has to do with the length and not the point style , I believe

I may have some? Not sure if they are what you're needing or not? Let me get some pics. Previous owner of my car pulled those off and welded up the holes. I think I still have chunks, possibly all?

I have one 72 rear and a pair of 71-2 door guards. No 72 fronts in my stash. If you end up needing to piece a set together let me know. Honestly I learned something today. I didn’t know what was correct for what years. I did know like most things that 70’s are different. And I had noticed the pointed end of the 72 piece but didn’t know what it came off.
My car (71) has the 71 style 1. Cause it’s an early build I suppose. I have a near mint style II set (as it turns out) that I have been saving for it. Came off a very nice low mile skylark. not sure if I will use them now or try to polish up my originals.

I have a near mint set as well but need to check if '71 T1/2 or '72. My '71 is a late build so if what I have is early maybe we can trade.

Is that the front fender piece that's shown? I have to get into the parts book but are the door pieces the same for '71-2? Are the quarter pieces the same for '71 T1 & T2?

Looks like I lucked out and the set I bought is '71 Type 2 which is correct for my car (05C body).

If you decide not to use your '71 T2 set, let me know. I'd be interested in buying it and putting the best of the 2 sets together?

I have an oddball '72 RF fender piece. Maybe a couple door pieces too if the same (see question above).

@Doo Wop IIRC had a bunch of this stuff and we were supposed to trade oddball pieces but that never happened. My fault tbh, but I also had no idea the '71-2 nuisances so...

I only have a couple pieces. Over spray and generally poor condition. Not worth shipping

It doesn’t look like I’m going to find a set.
I’m interested in the 72 rear and maybe the pair of door guards.
Can you send a picture of each and how much you want for them?
    Thanks Chris

Here you go. Rubber is about perfect. One little dip in it which I think transferred to the metal & could be fixed. Couple places on the backside where maybe someone popped it off the clips but easily straightened & completely hidden when installed. Nice enough part that w/a little TLC & cleaned up it could go on a newly painted car. How's $20 shipped?

I just bought a '72 and will need to validate what I've got on the car and condition but I may have what you need.

Look like you have a mix of different years, there are 3 72 fender pieces, the rest are 70 & 71

I have more somewhere around here but I think they are all '70.

The second and third one from the left in the first picture looks like the driver side fender piece I need. I can’t tell if the third one has a piece missing or it’s a shadow on the picture. I’m interested in buying the best one of the two.

Yes, the 3rd one is missing a chunk on the back end of the rubber piece.
