My alternator needs freshened up. I feel it is working perfectly fine, but, would like to get it updated.
Does anyone have one, that appears correct? It doesn't need to be a date coded part. I just want a very nice alternator. Or, is there a company that sells correct appearing alternators for the bbb?

perhaps u could just attend an alternator rebuilder shop and purchase a rebuilt unit to use while u refurb your current unit. then keep the rebuilt as a spare.

Troy, when I put my convertible together back around 2006 NAPA sold me an alternator that looked identical to the original on my 72. It has the newer style case with the ridges on the back yet the square plug and is externally regulated. 72 was a bit of a changeover year. Part number was 13-4021 however current search NAPA online shows a generic picture so best to order one in and then check it over before you take it. It has been 7 years.

My website has pic of original alternator: http://members.shaw.ca/timcr/elec.html

    Hope that helps

I have an 1102463 61 amp dated 2F3 It is for a chevy with a 1 groove pulley. I can change the pulley if you need a double. It is the correct style case. It is rebuilt and ready to go. It looks good. PM me if you want pics or if I get time, I will post pic here.
