1972 GS 455 motor for sale Rebuilt 2007. Brand New. This engine cost me about 4500. to get rebuilt about 4-6 years ago. I also installed the adjustable pushrods and a Crane cam. It was ran. I am looking for offers to get it gone. NO offer will be scoffed at. I dont have the car anymore so whoever posts first will get first dibs. Post offer and pm me with phone number. The engine is located in Peshtigo WI. The reciept I have for the engine work doesnt have a date on it. So I am not 100% sure the exact year it was rebuilt. Alot of guys on this board have delt with me in the past, this is no joke. I am an honest seller and someone is going to get a good deal on this.:beer This will have to be picked up unless you can make arangements to get it shipped to you. I will post some pictures after work tonight. Randy PS I know I am suppose to put a price so I will say 2000.00 or best offer.
Ok Randy, if it is a good running engine, no knock, smoke - $1250. But will need more details to be able to finalize.
Carl I will post all offers. I will keep it fair. The motor has no knocks. I originally had this engine for my 71 Stage1. Now just about all gone. I am going out now and taking pictures. :beer
Here are some pictures.:TU: I turned this motor over a 1/16 of a turn about 2times a year in storage.
Did the engine get bored out and new pistons installed? Is the cam a mild street strip cam? Do the heads have stage1 size valves? Is a great deal, wondering about the details.
Yes the engine was bored out with new pistons .030 over I believe. I am looking for the reciept for the pistons. The rebuilder said the cam was right on the top of the street. The Valves are the step down from the stage1. Still has huge valves but not the stage1 valves.
Any other offers. I have not really heard from anyone. Carl Offered me money but I havent seen anything yet. A couple of people said they would PM and havent. Didnt find reciept for pistions but I can assure you they were new because I have the old ones. Make Me an Offer. Randy
Cam specs? dont know?.... This cam was installed in the engine when I got it. I reused it because it was brand new. All I know it it was a Crane cam. And when it was running in the engine it was pretty choppy. Sounded real nice. I think the comprssion was 10.5 to 1. Again I am no engine guy. I am 43 years young and its been a couple years. I cant remember all what I did. I do remember getting the pistons from TA performance and the adjustable push rods. Thought I got them originally from Poston, again memory bad. I called and talked to TA about what should go in the engine. They recommended pistons for me. :Smarty: All the componants have been gone through and rebuilt.
