Stock Skylark Custom in 72 had them . I have seen GS with the same ornament. Theres posts about it on here
I wasn't planning on it, but I will if anyone wants me to. Problem is I am going out of town starting tomorrow (Thursday) morning and don't return until Tuesday. If anyone calls the seller and wants me to check it out and shoot more pictures I'll be happy to.
There is a lengthy thread on this emblem and it being ona GS hood. I thought it was only for Skylark customs but I was told otherwise.
I just tracked down those threads. Give me a couple of minutes to cut/post the links. One weird option- you could get the hood crest 'gold' (i guess it may be brass?) plated? I guess these Buicks are 'doctors' cars... Stand by for post links....
John you need to look at the pictures in the ad a little closer. It's not the standard '72 tri-shield emblem, it's some kind of big winged thing.
BUT WAIT..THERES MORE!!!: That two-toned Turquoise and Teal was a 1972 non FACTORY-dealer option ONLY. The body paint numbers are 61 and 88.2224-1/3 .:Brow: ..BUT...you could only get those color options IF you ordered the winged thingy on the hood and moon hubcaps with trim rings. Also very rare indeed. :TU: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
