I've never seen red interior in a skylark, is it special order? It appears to have come with the car, the lower dash is also red. I like the color combo with the silver. Good start, body needs some work. Jury's still out on the wheels, donk like.

Looks like an Olds interior to me. Is that a '71 grill?

    69GS400s ...my own amusement ride!

rear seat cover is '69 Skylark/GS deluxe interior ... door panels look like olds and don't know the front seats...

... If they're pontiac you could drive down the road in your BOP

70 Chevelle door panels, 70 recovered chevelle seats, I dyed the dash, I redid the back seat with 69 skylark rear seat upholstery. I wanted a silver car with red interior. Everyone here knows they dont make red 70-72 skylark/GS red interior. Thats the reason for the weird combination:pp

Correct sir. The grill is the original 72 skylark custom grille that came with this car. This was originally a skylark custom with a 350 and bench seats.

Opinions and buttholes, we all got'em! My personal preference, wasn't shooting for a numbers matching show winner!

I must say I kind of like the car in this color combination, I never knew red wasn't availble in 70 - 72, explains why I've never seen one.. You're creative, I'll give you that. I would paint the car and drive it, get some of your hard work out of it, enjoy it. Did you do anything with the rear?

Thanks. Hadnt made it to the rear yet. I'd love to get some of the enjoyment out of it. But i can't seem to get the time. And when i get the money i need to use it for something else. Bought it in 2001 for $1900, with money saved from basic training, it was yellow then with brown interior. Was a daily driver back and forth to school for two years. Gaurd unit got activated late 2003, went to Iraq early 2004 got back early 2005. didnt touch it again till 2007. And now its on ebay!

I like the idea too. Kinda reminds me of a ferrari color scheme. Not crazy about the rims though.

    I'm 16.

They definately aren't huge though. Just not my preference. On 70-72s I only like 15 inch rallies or doggies. Unless on a pro touring car.

I might steal your idea down the road in my life. :beers2:
