Not a 72 ! But it sure is Black ! general rule of thumb paint White to cover no so good body /red on a pretty fair body / Black on a superb body IMHO ! good luck choosing Gary/moz

    Thanks for the compliment!!
I believe the color is Fire Red.
In the sun light it will look orange on certain angles.

Interesting to see changes in the black GSx in the two pics. Different tires, removal of fender emblems, and addition of GSX rear fender emblem. Nice touches. Now that it's mine am looking forward to seeing it. :3gears:

For a couple other options, here's a pic of my buddy's code 14 silver mist polly 1972GS and my code 43 seamist green 1972 Stage1. Both of these colors change pretty dramatically depending on the light conditions and the color of the surroundings that the metallic is reflecting.

Then again be careful with silver mist because it has a green tint in other light conditions.... This is more like what I would say it's true color is.

Tom Rix also had a car this color... Here's the text:

Congratulations to Tom Rix on his first IHRA Top Stock win at the biggest IHRA national event of the year in Norwalk, Ohio. Tom whooped up on four Camaros in his '70 GS Stage 2, and totally dominated the field. His 9.85@132.75 in the final was by far the quickest run of the race in the heads-up class. He beat the GM factory backed '67 Camaro of Monty Bogan Jr. in the final, when Bogan red-lighted. Because he knew he had to cut a light if he was going to have a chance to beat that big bad Buick.

Now this is what I call, "STRIKING"....
