Hello, A friend of mine is looking for a dash pot for his 72 Lark, it is a 350 2 barrel car. He would love to have NOS but would take one in good shape if available? Thanks, Tom
Pretty sure the dashpot was replaced with an idle solenoid in '71. '70 had the dashpot as well as early '71 cars. Late '71 & '72 went to the solenoid. Saw one on E-Bay recently. '72 is year specific. Go here & search the articles to see the differences: www.buickperformance.com
Steve, Thanks for the info, I attached a photo from my car of what he was looking for with an arrow drawn to it. I thought he even stated it went under the intake? Sorry I am clueless on this piece. I searced Buickperformance and didn't find nothing on this only on the Idle Solenoid and he does not need that. Tom
That is a 350 2bbl divorce choke assembly, it is on the opposite side (passenger side) from the idle solenoid.
Gr. 3.750 Choke '72 & '73 350-2V engines # 7042194. Ask here in "Parts Wanted", you will probably find one good used. Use the above GM part numbers & search the net for NOS. Another place to ask is www.buickperformance.com www.buickfarm.com www.oldcarparts.com Ask for George N.. at buickperformance. He has a great source of parts at his disposal.
