As usual, I pitched my seat and now need it. If anyone has a strato bench seat (the one with the center fold down arm rest) they are willing to part with, let me know. Depending on location etc I may be able to pick it up. So far, local salvage yards have been no help.

    Thanks,

I got one, but it's in Flint, MI, the tracks have been removed but the rest of the seat is in good shape, brown in color. Let me know, you can have it, if you can find some way to get it to UT!

I appreciate the offer. I have a friend up that way and am moving to CT in a month or two so the plan would be for me to swing by on my way out. I'll stay in touch. Thanks again!

When you get one make sure it is from a 71-72 car. The 70 versions will work but they are a little different.

Thanks Duane, I wouldnt have known and probably would have had problems when I get it recovered.

    Duane,
Is there a list of which cars will interchange (bolt up, that is - not specifically be a correct match)?

  8. If you're moving to CT, I have one which needs to be recovered and repadded in Mass. When you move you could come up and grab it.

Paul, that would be great. I'll be in touch. :TU:

  10. Not a problem. It's a 72 bench and if you'd like pics let me know.

As far as bolting directly to the floor pan with no modifications, I know that any 68-72 A-body front bench seat will work. (I do not remember if the earlier 64-67 seats will fit.)

I am also not sure about the big car bench seats, but do remember seeing one big car front bench seat in an a-body conv. It looked like it had 2 bucket seat tops with a center armrest. It had a really cool look, but I did not check to see if they had to relocate the mounting holes. (It may have been out of a Riv.)

    Thanks Duane,

My Skylark had an Olds seat when I got it (now in Mark O'Leary's convert). I'm eventually going to go to a racing bucket setup, but I'd like to get something cheap and convenient to use in it until everything is ready to go.

What about the 73 and later benches?
