1972 AM/FM Sonomatic wanted

Looking for a WORKING, 1972 AM/FM SONOMATIC in nice shape for a fair price, good chrome and knobs a must. The 72 will have a small red light on the dial, but others will be considered.

 

I believe the small red light is for a stereo am/fm radio.

Isn't a full size Buick radio different sized than a GS and won't work......anbody?

 

Yes a full size radio is different and doesn't even have the mounting studs in the front.

 

When they are put in I dont think you can tell the differance between 70-72 other than 72 was the only year to have that stereo light.
I have a 1971 AM/FM radio but I need to find out if it works. It is VERY Clean and nice !!
I would need to see if anyone around knows a way to check these to see if they work (Bench Test)

 

Is it a Sonomatic, with the flip switch at the top? If so how much,I can take a chance if its what I want for the right price.

 

I have 2 of them that I just got back from the radio repair shop. They are in very nice condition and I have $300 in each one. 70-72 Skylark and GS are all the same unless you ordered the stereo version available in late 72 only.
