I am selling a reproduction A-body Off-White top boot. This boot was installed on a Skylark convertible for a short time and then was put into storage. It is in nice shape but could use a little clean-up.

The boot would be correct for a 1972 GS/Skylark convertible. New ones are going for $180 or so. I am selling this one for $75.00

The part is located in the Philadelphia area.

    Duane,

Is this the only color white that was used in 1972. I was thinking off putting a white interior in the 72 GS conv. I plan on restoring? What would be shipping to 48375?

Carl asks, "Is this the only color white that was used in 1972"

That is correct, and why it's correct for a 72 only. The only reason I ended up with it was the guy had a 71 car and when he bought his interior found out the 71's were pearl white so he ended up buying the correct color boot.

I have your Steering wheel/brake pads ready to ship, but if you wanted this I could put everything in a bigger box and the added cost of an oversize box would be $8.00.

If you want it give me a call today.

    Duane,

Because I can't seem to make up my mind what color interior I am going to put in the 72 GS convertible, I will pass at this time to someone else that is interested. Sorry for the hold up!

Put me in line or consider it sold? (I think it up to me anyways). Is the plastic that goes under the pinchweld trim ok? Mine has seen better days! Let me know and cost for shipping to 60517

    Thanks!

    Roberta,
Mine has the same plastic pieces that slide under the chrome like your friends top boot has. I believe the 68 top boots were the last ones with the plastic clips that snapped onto the chrome. All original 69-72 top boots came with the plastic slides. (I will post a couple of pics for you tomorrow.)

    OK,
Here's where we stand with this part.

Carl was first in line and he passed

Next I got a PM from "SKYLARK216" (at 6:03 PM) that he wanted to be second in line and wanted pics. (He is a newbie and sent a PM rather then posting on the thread)

Then Roberta posted a question, which I will get a pic posted here tomorrow to show the plastic slides.

Then "brmorr" Brian says he will take it (at 8:12 PM).

OK, so who's actually first in line now?

To answer everyones questions about condition, the top boot basically looks new on the outside and has a touch of spotting on the inside (from sitting in my basement) where no one will see it once installed. ALL the plastic slides are like new.

To be honest if it was black I would keep it but since it is off white I don't need it.

Sounds good, I will take it without pics needed, but I understand board rules. Let me know if it gets to me and I will get you paid.

OK, here are some pics of the top boot with the foam pieces that go under it.

You can see the color/condition and there is a picture showing the plastic pieces that slide under the chrome moldings.

As far as first come/first serve I will give "SKYLARK216" until this time tomorrow to say yes or no. If I hear nothing then it will move to the next person.

You'd have to fight off Beth's cat Lizzy for it. I'd bring at least grenades unless you want to get bloody.:blast:

She gets pissed if you put anything on it. That's her turf.
