Looking for a pair of 1972 455 heads, casting number 1238148 in excellent condition. Must be date coded C, D or E. Small valve or Stage 1, complete or bare. PM me with what you have available. Would need to be shipped to northern Illinois. Thanks, Tom 815-687-6622
I have a set that one is B-16 and the other is C-1, both 1238148. They have hardened ex. seats converted to stage 1 valves, with Poston stainless steel valves and stage 1 springs, chambers measure @ 71 CC, ready to run. $950 shipped to the lower 48. I have about $1,200 into these heads, should make good power. Derek
Tom,I checked a couple heads, have some more to check, those them things don't move that easy for a 80 year old man,so it takes me a little longer.I found one head so far,but it was a -K- and I know you don't want that.Bruno.
Off subject; For a novice, why are these so special? Where would I find info on 455 heads as far as characteristics: chamber size, valve size, stock compression on original engine?
