Just wondering if cylinder heads produced IN 1971 for a 1972, Dec built car would still have the 72 cast into them. I'm assuming they do, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Is a head marked 72 K 19 a Nov built of 71 or 72 ? If the early cars have a date cast into them for the model year, wouldn't a head be cast 73 K 19 for new model year? Any help appreciated.

If the heads say 72 they are for 72 model year and they would have been made in October of 71. If it was for 73 model I guess they would say 73 but not familiar with 73 cars. Anything made in October would always be for next calender year.
