1971 Skylark Custom grille with stainless steel trim. I repaired the 2 upper mounting studs and completely refinished the grille to show condition. You will not be able to see any signs of repair when the grille is installed in the car. The grille is refinished with PPG automotive paint not spray cans. The black is even painted under all of the fins as well as the recessed areas where needed. The stainless trim has been polished. I even have a New Old Stock grille emblem to go with this grille. This was a very solid grille before the repairs. I am looking to get $400 for the grille.
Dave, My Custom grille is fine but I have to admire the job you've done on this. I started restoring the Skylark grille I took out. Frustrating to say the least, with yards of thin masking tape. It's still in the rafters...............unfinished.
Just a FYI : I was at Dave's last night dropping off a fan shroud that needs to be repaired and I was able to see the Grill that Dave has here on the board for sale...... I have seen NOS grills that looked no where near this nice :beer the quality of workmanship Dave does is second to none. Dave takes a lot of time and puts a lot of heart in everything he does and it shows. Anyone here looking for a Fantastic 71 Grill should jump all over this. Just my .02 opinion.
