I just bought a 1971 Riviera and am wanting to find the location of the build sheet(s). Where is the best place to start searching? Were there any tank stickers or other weird locations?
Check under your rear seat, that is where I found mine. It also couldn't hurt to check under the front seat. It won't just be on the floor, it will be wire tied to the frame of the seat cushion. Goodluck :TU:
I've found them inside the passenger side fenders as well. Inside door panels, under seat cushions pinned between the foam and springs, behind reat seat, etc.
Let me know if you decide to part out the Riv you're looking at Thanks to everyone else for the possible locations. I figured it would be easier to ask than to rip the whole car apart. Considering how original the car is, I'm pretty sure the build sheet will be in it. I've always been into Pontiacs and they "usually" put their build sheets on the rear seat springs between the trunk divider.
It was not a rule that the build sheet should leave the factory in the car. It's more like factory workers being to lazy to drop the build sheet in the garbage bin....
