Two quick questions.

What gears would a 71 GS350 auto have?

What is a stock 71 8.2" posi rear worth?

A '71 GS could have 3:08 or 3:43 posi rear. Perhaps also the 2:73 economy posi rear. Are you sure the '71 posi rear is a 8.2"? I always thought that the 8.2" was stopped in 1970 and the 8.5" was started in 1971.

 

Standard 1971 8.5 rear for a GS 350 is 3.08.

 

Doesn't the 8.2 have the two notches on the cover?

Looked at the rear today. It is an 8.5". The two notches on the cover threw me. I also found a good guide for GM 10 bolt rears on the net.
