I was viewing the brochure for the '71 model year and something caught my eye. The brochure shows a 3 speed manual (column shift) was standard in the Centurion and Estate Wagon. Does anyone know if any of these cars were actually built w/the 3 speed stick? Are there any production numbers? Last, but not least, has anyone actually seen one so equipped? I would LOVE to see a pic!

    Thanks!

We know of one 71 Centurion convertible that was a 3 speed manual column shift. Apparently it was a "shop car" and didn't survive long. It was not long after that, the TH400 became standard equipment. I do not see any other 71 Centurions (conv, coupe, or 4 door) listed as having a standard transmission. I don't have the information on the Estate wagons.
