1971 Buick LeSabre 455 Talk about a sleeper, and its blue!!! :Brow: But the pictures make it hard to judge, might be Twilight Turquoise
Those are part of a 1971 model year only Flow-through ventilation system. There are louvers in the hood and trunk lid. The blower motor inside the car always runs when the key is on. The idea is that fresh air is continuously cycled through the car. It only lasted for one year and came on C, B and E bodies. I think its neat. If you wonder what happens to water in the trunk lid louvers it runs through the trunk lid and out to the bottom edge of the trunk lid above the taillights. There is a small rubber flap that allows the water to escape but also keeps it closed.
and it's got a bug guard... somehow that tells me a bit about the owner and his care for the car knowing how fragile those guard are. It wasn't only Buick, but all GM full size models that had those flow-through ventilation 'systems'

It seems to me to be a one owner who recently passed, an this guy picked it up at an estate sale for $2k, and wants a $1.5k profit. He never mentions anything about the cars history, and wants bidding to start at $3.5k. I'm not saying it is or is not worth it, just odd the way it is advertised. I'd like to make it my daily driver.:Brow:
WOW! This one is just the next state over... Hmmm. Would look good next to the blue/white 4 door in my avatar.:TU:
Ad reads: Gas gauge works, but not accurately. Read: The darn thing left me stranded on the side of the road while still reading an 1/8 of a tank! OR I drove a 150 miles on the first half of the tank and then the second half disappeared in 50 miles!
